Plastic in Baldwin
This year Baldwin is trying to get rid of plastic in school even more, and that is amazing. The Alive School Cafeteria will no longer
be selling plastic water bottles, along with La Tiendita, and the Snack Shack. Every single student in the school must bring
their own water bottle. During the first few days of class the homeroom teachers gave out metal bottles that will keep your
water cold. If a student needs to get more water, they can refill them at the water fountains. This year all the water fountains will have completely clean water, so no need to worry. The water fountains have a drinking area and a water filling area activated by touch. The fountains also tell you the water filter status. GREEN for really clean. YELLOW for kind of clean. Lastly, RED for not clean. These fountains are all over the school. Remember to always check the status before filling your bottle.
If you want to help our environment even more, you should recycle, recycle, recycle. There are trash and recycling bins all over the campus; you just need to classify, and luckily we’ve learned how to do so. Every little step towards saving our planet counts.1,2,3,10,40,100,and even 1,000, so let’s start walking to our finish line.
