Innocence
Thou took advantage of my innocence.
Now tears stream down my rosy cheeks in shame.
While my sobs are fruit of thy arrogance,
Myself for my misfortune I do blame.
Thy emeralds have cast in me a spell,
Disguising thy heart made of lifeless coal.
How may such stunning temple reign in hell,
Resembling a foul diabolic soul.
A contract with the devil thou hast signed,
Though in thy virtue I once did believe.
Doubt dwells in the depths of my shattered mind,
The which thou found so easy to deceive.
Now I question whether a heart so sore
Shall ever heal and learn to love once more.
