Where Am I
To fly higher than the eyes can see
Wondering how and why
To question what one is questioning
To look into the eyes of the watcher that contains your thoughts.
One day, just like the other, wondering who am I
Constantly wondering what keeps us from
falling to the other side.
To see what is not there.
Having so many thoughts that never find a way to leave me in peace
As you speak to me, my mind is in disarray
As he walks away I wonder what it is he wanted to say
I hear someone call my name
It is a familiar tone I hear every day
Reminding me what to do, where to be, how to speak
But I am not there
Looking out from someone else’s eyes
Walking through life in someone else’s shoes
As we leave this world we detach like a rocket man
No pain, no joy, no fuel
Left with an eternal silence we may never wake up from
Something we may never comprehend
Wake up and live the moment, for you may never know when it will be your last
