High School Spirit Week 2019

The first day’s theme was historical events. In first place was the tenth grade as the Trojan War, in second, the ninth grade as the moon landing, in third the twelfth grade as the first Olympics and in fourth, eleventh as the building of the Giza pyramids. The best student costume was awarded to ninth grade, and the best teacher costume was awarded to the tenth grade.

The second day’s theme was food. The juniors came in first place as Puerto Rican food, in second, the tenth grade with Mexican foods, in third place, the seniors as American Dinner Food, and ninth grace came in last as Chinese take out. Best student costume was awarded to the juniors, and tenth grade won the best teacher.

Video games were the third day’s theme. The seniors won first place with their presentation of Pokemon and were also awarded best student costume. The juniors participated as Pacman and came in second place. The ninth grade participated as Lego Land, came in third place also winning the best teacher costume. Lastly, the tenth grade came in fourth as Wii Sports.

The results for color wars and spirit week in general were, in this order, seniors then ninth grade, then tenth grade, and finally eleventh grade. These results were mostly affected by how the grades represented themselves through their class shirts.
