Citrus

Citrus

Your skin, as bright as the sun,
And the lingering of your sweet smell
Reminds me of a memory I can’t outrun
As if you’ve put me under a spell.
You’re peeled and sliced
And arranged on a plate,
So when the light enters just right,
I cannot bear to wait.
